In no particular order
10-AB turfs it down the stairs in Heber- The stairs of death... Anyone who has seen that flight of stairs knows that nobody who falls down them had a pleasant experience. The bigger they are the harder they fall. That theory rung true that day.
9- Ryan maces himself with Shelly's mace. Hmmmm I wonder what this does? Ouch!! Not many people were there or know that happened, but it was funny.
8- Busted toilet papering. Ryan, Bryan and I snuck out in the middle of the night and tagged a house. We knew the people we nailed and upon return to the house, all the lights in the house were on and we knew we were in trouble. Dad tried to tell me I was going to knock on the victim's door, apologize and clean it up. I refused. Dad persisted. I refused. We both laughed, and I was sternly warned against doing it again.
7-Who is Will Train? Popular guy.
6-Ryan do I need to come back there? Dad embarrasses Ryan on the school bus. They were going to a Jazz game for Jr. Jazz. Some kids were acting up on the bus. Dad falsely accused Ryan of being part of it and in front of a bunch of his peers asked "Ryan, Do I need to come back there"? Ryan was not thrilled.
5-I was pulled over for driving without a license when I was 15. My name was said over the police scanner and I was the butt of many jokes at basketball practice the next day.
4- I'll have some flan.... and a limonada. John makes fun of his friend's Spanish while on vacation in Mexico.
3- John and I stole his neighbor's sign out of her yard that essentially told people to stay the hell off her street. She used to own it as a private road, but no longer did, yet tried to act as if she did. Our journey included jumping a fence and laying on hard cow crap to hide. It was like we were a couple teenagers out toilet papering or something.
2- Al Sauce.
1- At the movie theater in Heber. Mom asks for licorice, she is about to be handed a ziploc bag extracted from a Costco bulk value pack. Mom's response was holding up her hand while firmly and sarcastically declaring "Absolutely not."

Top 5 vacations of all time (growing up)
1- Cincinnati- This one wins by a landslide. We loaded up that Astro Van, made the whole back seat a bed (not gonna fly these days) and had a CD player with Collin Raye playing a good portion of the trip. As long as it was not Barbara Streisand, it could have been anything.
So, if memory serves, the passengers were: Mom, Dad, Me, Valarie, Marie, Becky, Ryan, and Colette. Milo was in the pre-existence or I am sure he would have been along for the ride. If I left you out, I am sorry, I am going off of a memory from being 9 years old at the time. A few items to remember:
1- A deck of cards
2- A blanket
3- A mug
The deck of cards, were "bomb" trading cards. The blanket was where I took cover after igniting the bomb, and the mug was the instrument I was repeatedly struck with over a 3 day period. I will let you fill in the blanks because if you were on that trip, you know exactly what I am talking about.
I remember pulling up to Stef and Cordale's house and Cameron was sucking his fingers while him and Preston were looking out the window. I remember the layout of the house, in particular, the upstairs was pretty cool. We caught fireflies at night. The highlight for me was the Reds/Dodgers game we went to. I bought every item offered in the stadium and puked my guts out when we got back to Stef and Cordale's house. Also, I have to mention White Castle, and Nauvoo. Great trip overall. I almost forgot the water park we went to and Discovery Zone.
2-Yellowstone- I consider Yellowstone my second home. The wooden guns I used to get as a kid were always cool. The ice cream up there was bomb. The Roger Beaman stories, take your pick. I love that place. Hitting the buffalo was crazy too.
3- Grandaddy Lake- Another second home. I love that place. The time that sticks out to me the most is getting into it with the campers above us. Dad, Ryan and I were just getting into camp when they yelled some obscenities down to us. I returned the favor and was on my way up there with a BB gun, but was restrained. I can tell you the things they yelled to us that pissed me off so bad, so if you want to know, ask me about it, but it is foul enough that I won't post it on here.
4-Disneyland- We ate at Coco's restaurant every morning. Neri was doing some synchronized swimming, or whatever the hell you even wanna call that. He was doing the splits on the side of the pool. He was also swimming and breathing in a weird manner. Shelly and the girls started imitating him, that was good times.
5-Disneyworld- Ryan and I went with mom and dad to Kissimmee. We stayed in a home instead of a hotel. The pool in the back rivaled shrink lake. It was cold. We hit up some good restaurants there and went to an Orlando Magic game. The fruit was superb in Florida.

Turning 30 in December
For a lot of you 30 isn't old. I guess it really isn't too old, but freakin' A, another decade and I will be in my 40's. That is crazy.
This month it will be 11 years since I received my mission call. I can say that time has gone by extremely fast. In February it will be 9 years since I got back. A decade ago, I was a few months into my mission. Now I have 3 nephews who have served or are serving missions and 2 are married, 1 with a kid. Time is crazy, it goes faster than I could ever have imagined.
Back in high school I got the speech from dad more than once. "Do you wanna dig ditches your whole life"? That was encouraging me to put as much time into my studies as memorizing Dumb and Dumber lines. He also mentioned things like "When you have your own family" or "When you serve a mission." I thought, yeah yeah, that is so far in the future, that won't ever happen. I think everyone is catching my drift....At some point along the way, we are all getting friggin' old.
I am in my last semester of college. It will be a happy day when I have that piece of paper finally. I am starting an internship today. I am excited about that. We will see if this is the foot in the door I need in the world of sports or if it is really the route I will take.
I don't know who all remembers this, but I remember when Mom and Dad broke the news to us that we were moving to Park City. In the end, of course, it ended up being Heber. Heber is where it's at and I am glad we ended up there instead of PC. We were driving in the car and they just kind of said it. At the time, I thought Park City was the coolest town on earth. I knew it as the place with Grandpa's other house and the Alpine slide. I remember pulling up in front of the old pioneer home for the first time. I remember the smell of my room, the one on the left after hiking up the stairs of death. The drawers were built into the wall, and don't shut the door unless you have a hanger to pick the lock. That house holds some of the best memories I will always carry with me, yet some of the worst too, which I will not address.... All in all, it was a great era, I loved living there and Bellows Glass was really sad when we left the block. Heber is the greatest town on earth in my humble opinion, and maybe Michelle and I will end up there one of these days. Springville is growing on me a lot though too, I like it.
One of the shock factors for me right now is technology. We talk about CD's like they are 8tracks now. People are going away from DVD's. Netflix is highly subscribed to. In some ways, I kind of miss the way things used to be. I hadn't even mentioned Facebook yet. They really should change the name of it to Openbook because some people post every damn step of their day on there. Some people grace us with a quote from President Monson, followed by an F bomb. There are drivers licenses, there should be social media licenses and some people should just stay the freak off the internet. Now that I am done with that soap box, I think I made the point that technology is crazy and we live in a different time. Suddenly 1993, feels like 1933.
I think that is a good stopping point for this post.
